Johnson & Bell is getting into the holiday spirit and giving back to our community! On Tuesday, Dec. 4, we had 13 people – yes, a baker’s dozen -- volunteer at the Hearts & Flour Bakery Shop at Misericordia. Our team of bakers spent the evening making chocolate chip cookies, snowball cookies, brownies, bread and more for the bakery. Then they packaged the goodies for sale to corporate clients and at the bakery shop. Our efforts are to support the great work of Misericordia. Johnson & Bell Shareholder, Genevieve M. LeFevour, coordinated the event.
Misericordia offers a wide variety of care that helps people with mild to profound developmental disabilities. On their 31-acre Chicago campus, the organization serves more than 600 children and adults residentially, all from diverse backgrounds. Misericordia strives for each individual to live as independently as possible. They provide care that is designed to meet each person’s needs. Misericordia states that through their dedicated families, employees, volunteers, supporters and community networks, they offer an environment that fosters each person's spirituality, dignity, respect, and quality of life.
